Operation Rebound Winter Sports Clinics Lake Tahoe Area

Goals one of this year’s clinics.

  • To give wheel chair using and amputees’ veterans or non-veterans an opportunity to acquire skills that will be a fun way to build physical fitness in the mountains of Lake Tahoe area.
  • Build a team of skiers and support personnel to compete in future adaptive events and competitions.
  • Establish long term relationships with fellow team mates
  • Build, recruit and train a USA Paralympic Nordic Team for the 2020 Paralympics


The first clinic is Friday Feb 8, Sat Feb 9 and Sunday Feb 10

The second clinic is Friday March 8, Sat March 9 and Sunday March 10

Each participant will be received professional instruction in the use of two adaptive cross-country ski equipment provided by the USA Paralympic Nordic team.

Location of free clinics will be Kirkwood Cross country Ski area.

The team building, and introductions will begin in Placerville on Fridays at 0800 hrs. until 1000 hrs.

These clinics will last approx. 4 hours at Kirkwood Cross country area. The Saturday and Sunday clinics will be longer than Fridays and may last up to 6 hours.

A list of winter appropriate clothing and food will be sent to participants. Each participant will be asked to sign a release of liability provided by clinic organizer.

Weather and road conditions will be determined two days prior to clinics by way of cell phone contact with Jim Cahill in order to assure safe travel and conditions of instructional area.
