Adaptive Nordic Clinics

Operation Rebound Winter Sports Clinics Lake Tahoe Area

Goals of this year’s clinics:

  • To give wheelchair using and amputee veterans and challenged non-veteran athletes an opportunity to acquire skills, have fun and build physical fitness in the mountain area of Lake Tahoe
  • Build a team of skiers and support personnel to compete in future adaptive events and competitions
  • Establish long term relationships with fellow team mates
  • Build, recruit and train a USA Paralympic Nordic Team for the 2022 Paralympics

Each participant will receive professional instruction using one of 4 adaptive cross-country ski rigs provided by a grant from Operation Rebound/Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Veterans Administration.

The free clinics will be held at the Kirkwood Cross Country Ski area on 28 and 29 March.

A list of winter appropriate clothing and food will be sent to participants. Each participant will be asked to sign a release of liability provided by the clinic organizer and instructor.

Weather and road conditions will be determined two days prior to clinics by way of cell phone and/or email contact with the event organizers in order to assure safe travel and conditions for participants.

Questions can be submitted at any time and RSVP are required one week prior to attending any or all the clinics to Jim Cahill by phone at (530) 409-0133 or at
