You will be required to present your active military ID or if you are a veteran, you will need to present your California drivers license with veterans designation, DD 214, military ID or a Veterans Administration ID to validate your veteran status.
Free Lift Tickets at Sierra at Tahoe
Free lift tickets will be offered at Sierra at Tahoe resort Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March for veterans with a California Driver’s license with veterans designation, DD214 or active military with ID. Sign up not required, simply present ID at ticket box office to participate.
Limited free lift tickets are available for veteran families on an individual basis. Contact event organizer Jim Cahill at email@example.com for more information.
Operation Rebound Nordic Challenge
Take the Operation Rebound Nordic Challenge by climbing up to Grandview over the 5 mile course then down to the ski school bell at the base. Free lift ticket with online donation of $50. The Long Course ‘Escape from West Bowl’ starts at 0700 from the Ski School bell area. The Short Course starts at the Top of the Nob Hill Chair Lift at 0745. $200 cash prize for fastest Long Course time and $100 for fastest Short Course finish.
